Tired of the same old turkey & gravy? This year try something new! Head out to eat at a few of our favorite local spots. Here’s what’s happening around town when it comes to Thanksgiving eats and drinks!

Lincoln Tavern & Restaurant – 425 West Broadway
Located in the heart of South Boston, Lincoln is a classic American tavern that offers guests a welcoming combination of home-spun, American fare alongside a wide variety of rustic, wood-fire-grilled specialties. Gobble up Thanksgiving treats before or after the November 24th holiday with comforting twists on turkey day classics from Executive Chef Nick Dixon. As part of the restaurants new fall menu, guests can nosh on the Turkey Gobbler sandwich for lunch all season long featuring oven roasted turkey breast, cranberry stuffing, maple bourbon onion jam, and roasted turkey gravy on fresh ciabatta bread or dig into Smoked Turkey Hash for dinner featuring slow roasted sweet potatoes, duck fat potatoes, Cipollini onions, guanciale, smoked bacon, roasted turkey gravy and cranberry chutney – Chef Nick’s twist on the ultimate post-Thanksgiving meal. Bar Manager Kevin Mabry will be mixing up autumnal cocktails like the Autumn Smash (Bulleit Rye, white peach, lemon, rosemary); Lady Lincoln(Ketel one, blackberry, elderflower, mint, lemon); Prickly Pear Margarita (Don Julio Blanco, Prickly Pear, Contreau, line).  Lincoln will also be featuring their brunch test menu on Black Friday from 10am-3pm and they will be open on the day before Thanksgiving from 11:30am-2am.

Stephi’s In Southie – 130 Dorchester Ave
Celebrate the holiday with Stephi’s! They are offering a Thanksgiving Dinner menu from noon until 8pm. What’s on the menu? Mouth-watering classics like slow roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, and more! The games will be on all day and the bar starts pouring at 12pm.  Stephi’s also wants to help make hosting Thanksgiving dinner easier too!  Order up a traditional Thanksgiving dinner like turkey, potatoes, brussels sprouts, corn bread stuffing, green bean casserole and more!  Pricing starts at $150 for 4-6p people.  Pies are also available for pick up!  Get your order in!  Catering menu available November 8th- December 4th.  Call 617-345-5495 or email Nate at [email protected]

Loco Taqueria –  412 West Broadway
Another must-see spot for Black Friday Brunch! Join them for their famous huevos rancheros & margaritas starting at 10am.

Gather – 75 Northern Ave.
Gather ’round the table at Gather this Thanksgiving! On Thanksgiving, the “Innovation District” hot-spot will be offering a full menu and a traditional turkey dinner. (Plus, their winter sangria and mulled cider can’t be beat!)

Capo – 443 West Broadway
Start a new tradition this Thanksgiving with Chef Tony Susi at Capo in South Boston. The Capo team invites guests to enjoy an Italian-inspired Thanksgiving, suitable for an intimate dinner or a special celebration for the whole family. In addition to Capo’s dinner menu, Chef Tony is preparing a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner featuring Misty Knoll Farms All Natural Turkey, Housemade Sausage, Chesnut and Apple Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Cranberry Sauce, and Choice of Side (options include broccolini, delicata squash, roasted cauliflower, brussel sprouts, and Yukon potatoes). Beverage Director Kevin Mabry offers a selection of seasonal cocktails for guests to enjoy while gobbling up their turkey day meal, like the Apple Blossom (Bols genever, mulled apple syrup, bitters) and the Cornucopia (Bulleit bourbon, Cardamaro, butternut squash, chocolate molé bitters).  Capo is located at 443 West Broadway, South Boston. Social Wines (52 West Broadway) wants to make your turkey day planning a little easier. Stop in between now and November 23rd and build your case (or half case) of wine!  Make your selections from any wine in the store! Mixing and matching is okay and enjoy extra savings!

Coppersmith – 40 West Third Street
This Thanksgiving, allow Coppersmith’s Executive Chef Jason Heard to do the cooking with the restaurant’s first ever Thanksgiving to Go offerings.  Bostonians can place orders for 12-15 lb house-smoked turkey, bone-in ham and brisket along with nine home-made side platters ranging in size Large (feeds 10-12) or Extra Large (feeds 16-20.)  Chef Heard  will also be offering nine quart size homemade sauces that pair perfectly with each protein, whether it be a thick and spicy creole gravy on your turkey or a cheerwine honey sauce for your ham, these finger-licking sauces are sure to be a crowd pleasers.  Additional sauces include; cinnamon maple, traditional mustard glaze, XXX spicy molasses, chile cranberry, Texas BBQ and traditional turkey gravy.  Chef Heard’s side dish offerings include; sausage & oyster stuffing, cornbread stuffing, sweet potato mash, garlic mash, macaroni & cheese, green bean casserole, cheddar cornbread, creamed corn pudding and chunky spiced apple sauce.  Homemade dessert treats include; ½ sheet pan of bread pudding, pumpkin pie with bourbon whipped cream and chocolate pecan pie with rum caramel sauce.  Starting prices for side platters begin at $35, with proteins beginning at $150, desserts at $30 and sauces at $20.00 per quart.

Orders can be placed in-person at the restaurant or online at www.Coppersmithboston.com/thanksgiving-orders.  All protein orders (turkey/ham/brisket) must be placed by  3pm on Tuesday, November 15th.  Side platter orders can be placed up until 3pm on Monday, November 21st.  All orders can be picked up between 6pm-10pm on Wednesday, November 23rd and will include all re-heating instructions.
