Southie is becoming the brewing capital of Boston.
Boston Restaurant Talk is reporting that Castle Island Brewing Co. is planning on opening a brewery and pub at the old Cole Hersee factory at 60-70 Old Colony Ave. This past summer, we reported that Tatte Bakery would be the anchor tenant in this building in addition to eight to ten restaurant and retail operators. Guess Castle Island Brewing is one of those operators!
This past October it was revealed that Lord Hobo would be opening a mega-brewery and gastro pub on Dry Dock Ave. Trillium Brewery and Harpoon Brewery also call South Boston home.
Castle Island Brewing headquarters, brewery and taproom is located in Norwood.
