The Espresso Martini is having a moment. It’s the just-right combo of vodka, coffee liqueur and espresso that perks you up and gives you a little buzz. It’s the perfect brunch cocktail, dessert substitution or post dinner drink if you continuing on your Saturday night bar hop. There are plenty of spots in South Boston to order one, so we decided to round up our favorite ones!
But first a little history of the Espresso Martini:
This cocktail was invented in London way back in the 1980’s by a bartender named Dick Bradsell. Word on the street is Bradsell created the drink which was originally called The Vodka Espresso then the Pharmaceutical Stimulant when a young model bellied up to the bar and asked for something to “wake me up and f**k me up.” And the rest is history.
So without further adieu, here are our favorite spots for the Espresso Martini in the Neighborhood
