Heading to Boston Calling this weekend? In addition to amazing live music, there will be food… lots of food! 30 vendors, to be exact! You can feast on everything from tacos to dumplings to doughnuts to empanadas. Here are 7 standouts we can’t wait to try in the DoorDash Food Village at Boston Calling:
Flour Bakery
A Boston favorite, Flour Bakery will be serving up their delicious sandwiches (Smoked Turkey + Avocado, Smoked Chicken Salad, Italian). Save room for dessert – Flour is also bringing their famous baked goods, like their sticky bun, brownies, rice krispie treats, and chocolate chip cookies.
Blackbird Doughnuts
Who doesn’t love a doughnut?! Arguably Boston’s best, Blackbird Doughnuts, makes all their treats from scratch each morning. Enjoy flavors like Triple Chocolate, Strawberry Glow-in-the-Dark, and of course, The Blackbird.
The Broadway
Southie’s own The Broadway will be featuring items from its menu, and it’s all about the bowls! Choices include the Hawaiian Rice Bowl, Poke Bowl, Burrito Bowl, and the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl. They should all be absolutely delicious.
Che! Empanada
Empanadas are a festival classic. Enjoy some of the best from Che! Empanada, including beef clasico, chicken clasico, and spicy chorizo. Don’t eat meat? The spinach & cheese empanada is also to die for.
El Jefe’s Taqueria
Boston’s ultimate late-night Mexican eatery, El Jefe’s will satisfy all your Mexican food cravings. They’re bringing classics like tacos, nachos, chips & queso, chips & guac, salsa… One bite and you’ll realize they really are “the boss”!
Dumpling Daughter
Soon to open in Southie, Dumpling Daughter will feature buns, noodles, scallion pancakes, and of course, their chicken & vegetable dumplings! We can’t wait to try all of them… and then order some more once their Southie location is up & running.
Fresh Boston
One of Southie’s newest hot spots, Fresh Boston will be on hand with their famous sandwiches! They’re bringing fan favorites including The Capone (made with Spicy Capicola, Mortadella, Salami, Provolone, Banana Peppers), their fresh grilled cheese, the Cubano sandwich, and of course the caprese sandwich.
See below for the full list of vendors at the festival. Good luck deciding!
