Scholastic Book Fair at the Lounge at the Innovation and Design Building
The Scholastic Book Fair is returning to the Innovation and Design Building Tuesday, August 25 through Thursday, August 27, in The Lounge at 23 Drydock, from 11:00 AM–4:00 PM each day. Whether you’re shopping for a young reader, adding a few new favorites to your own bookshelf, or simply looking to relive a little childhood nostalgia, come browse, rediscover an old favorite, and maybe find your next great read. Lucky One Dog Party at Roza Lyons
Calling all Southie pups! Roza Lyons is hosting a Lucky One Dog Party on Tuesday, August 25 from 5–7pm with a special pup menu, games, treats, photo ops, and plenty of Lucky One Lemonade for the humans.
Fitzgerald VFW Post #561 wants you to help them preserve South Boston’s History
The Thomas J. Fitzgerald VFW Post #561 is looking for community input on potential locations for new historical markers in South Boston! Stop by the Fitzgerald Post at 715 E. New Round of Repairs + Renovations at the Curley Community Center
The Curley Community Center underwent a $31 million renovation a few years ago. Last year, however, there were numerous complaints about conditions at the facility, including locker room issues, overcrowding, broken equipment, plumbing problems, and more. Now, the City is moving forward with a new round of repairs and improvements at the Curley to address some of those concerns. Get all the details here.
