Wrong-Way Driver to Face Charges After Fatal Crash on I-93 (South Boston)

A tragic wrong-way crash on I-93 in Boston (South Boston/Dorchester) late Saturday night left a 20-year-old man dead and sent several others to the hospital, according to 7News.
Massachusetts State Police say an 81-year-old driver entered the northbound side of I-93 near Exit 15A in South Boston when a family swerved to avoid an SUV driving the wrong direction traveling in the wrong direction just before midnight. The SUV nearly struck two vehicles, causing them to swerve and collide. One of those vehicles, carrying a family of four, was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
Moments later, the wrong-way SUV crashed head-on into a Chevrolet Cruze driven by a man in his 20s from Haverhill. He died from his injuries.
