J HIll Designs features the pleasingly bold and graphic work of Jennifer Hill a Fort Point artist who is “curing the homesick and exciting wanderlust” with her work.  Inspired by travel and the notion that people daydream of places from their past, Jennifer combined a way for people to decorate their homes with affordable modern art and show their love of place – in this case – Boston!

West Elm Local collection will selling J Hill Design’s modern travel posters highlight Boston pride with the Boston City Map and posters that celebrate the Boston Red Sox.

Jennifer lives in Savin HIll with her husband and 3 year-old son.  Her studio is on Congress St. in Fort Point.

The Uncommon Green –  a South Boston based company that prides itself on design with conscience and sources material locally – features unique products including barware, home goods and grooming products.  Their glassware showcases your hometown pride etched in glass in the shape of street maps.  The Uncommon Green’s street map glassware will be on sale at West Elm.

Uncommon Green was started in 2009 by Brian Johnson with the idea of melding artistry with functionality.  Drawing inspiration from his background in mechanical engineering and industrial product development, Brian started looking for ways to incorporate high-performance industrial materials into designs for the home.  Brian’s two college buddies – Dave and Neil – came on board and joined the Uncommon Green team where they are committed to building our company on five essential qualities—creativity, ingenuity, craftsmanship, honesty, and pride.

Brian also lives in South Boston.
