shopping & style

Written by Maureen Dahill

Once upon a time, a long time ago (the late 90’s to be exact), I opened a cute, little shop on the corner of G and East Broadway called Maude Mango.  It was a vintage clothing boutique featuring clothing and accessories from the 1920’s to the 1980’s.  I’m proud to say it won the coveted Boston Magazine’s Best of Boston Award in 2000 for Best Vintage Clothing Shop in Boston.

Maude Mango will be resurrected from the dead and Habit will play host to Vintage Pop-up Shop from Friday, April 13th thru Sunday, April 15th.  I will be brining a hand-picked selection of the best vintage clothing and accessories especially for you!  Expect amazing leather coats from the 1960’s, fun sparkly tops, vintage handbags that would make any secretary from Mad Men proud and jewelry galore!

So stop by and shop!  I’ll even offer styling tips and how to incorporate vintage into your wardrobe like a true fashionista.

Hi Maureen,  I actually still have a dress that’s in the picture and yes, I still wear it.  I have many treasures bought at Maude Mango’s.  I guess you could say they are vintage vintage :-)!  I wish I could go but I’m booked for that night.  Good luck!  Brendalee
