Free Makeup Class at Nurture
17-year old Boston Arts Academy rising senior Grace Galgay has always been artistic. Whether it is a flair for outfitting her mom with a special accessory for an event or experimenting with make-up on her friends, Grace creates a special signature beauty style with her bold design and precise application.
Requirements for Grace to graduate include participation in a Senior Grant Project in which students propose a project that incorporates his/her art that can serve a community need. Grace was part of a fraction of her senior class that was granted money to pursue her project, which is “hosting a makeup class that will discuss issues or struggles of low confidence/self esteem and teaching the creative expression of makeup as a healthy coping mechanism.”
Nurture Salon in South Boston is graciously hosting the event on August 4th from 6:30-8:30pm and attendees will have the opportunity to master the elusive skills of perfecting eyebrows, contouring, foundation matching and more! Before and after photographs will be taken for clients to keep and to support Grace’s project. The class is free and by participating, you will help Grace to graduate with honors!
Food and drink will be provided so take a stroll over to Nuture on L Street on Friday and support the artistic and creative dreams of a wonderfully focused, driven and creative young lady!
