Fashion Events You Don’t Want to Miss

Fashion enthusiasts rejoice! There are some hot event coming up right in our own backyard! Mark your calendars!

South Boston Catholic Academy’s auditorium will be transformed into Southie’s hottest runway on Sunday, May 1st at 4pm. Featuring local South Boston boutiques, models will strut their stuff and showcase some of springs biggest trends. Your host for this event will be Caught in Southie Editor and Fan of Fashion Maureen Dahill. CIS’s own Heather Foley will be modeling looks from Pretty Reckless and has been “watching lots of RuPaul’s Drag Race for runway walk inspiration.”

Also on deck? A pop-up shop featuring clothing and accessories, Cash Bar- champagne, wine & sparkling water, and complimentary savory bites! Tickets are $25 and tables of 10 can be reserved!

DIY with Southie’s favorite handbag designer! Lindsay Tia is hosting a Paint Your Own Tote night on Monday, May 2nd from 6pm-8pm at Lincoln Tavern! Each person will receive a burlap tote bag made by Lindsay Tia to paint and decorate as well as an apron to wear while painting. Materials to decorate your bag include: paints, studs, ribbons, stencils, and MORE! The perfect girls night with discounted wine prices including red, white, and rose for just $5 a glass! On Monday, May 9th at 6:30pm The Third Piece is hosting a WINEDown Monday Knitting event! Knitting and wine, does it get any better!?! The Third Piece is joining their neighbor’s at Lincoln South Boston for an evening of sipping & knitting. Learn the techniques to create your own designer hand-knit piece through our knitting workshopThe Lincoln features cheap wine Monday’s with $5 glasses of red, white and rose! All experience levels are welcome and a variety of knit kit projects available to choose from including a scarf, pillow and more!
