Due Date August 1st

Filling a void in South Boston boutiques, Bringing Up Baby, will outfit your newborn and toddlers from head to toe.

Born out of necessity, the concept for this new children’s shop is a fashion forward boutique conveniently located in the heart of the neighborhood that’s warm and welcoming.  “I saw a major need for a dwelling place for moms and dads, where they could conveniently travel and spend time in a warm, friendly and local environment geared to provide solutions for their infant and toddler needs. As a mom of two I remember just a trip to the supermarket was a journey. In the car seats out of the car seats, in the stroller out of the stroller. It was exhausting. I felt the young families deserved a place to call their own within walking distance in the neighborhood,” says Sandy Sidoti, owner and mom of two.

Baby needs a new pair of shoes:
Bringing Up Baby will feature eco-friendly brands and fair trade partners.  There will be four organic layette lines as well as upscale brands like Kissy Kissy and Margery Ellen.  Fashion brands include Mayoral, Deux par Deux, Eliane et Lena, Appaman, Andy and Evan, Isobella and Chloe, Mimi and Maggie as well as small American designers.  No outfit is complete without shoes, Bringing up Baby will have Primigi, Umi, Livie and Luca and more.

Rock N’ Roll:
City living makes having a stroller a necessity for getting from point A to point B.  Bringing Up Baby will offer a small assortment of strollers and gear.  They will also feature toys, plush, books and games for quick gift pick up or for someone who has had a special day.

Bring the kids:
The shop has a small playroom for the kids and a nursing/changing room for parents.  There will also be fun monthly activities for children and quarterly events for parents.

A soft opening is in the works for Thursday, August 1st and a grand opening for mid-September.
