Books & cocktails at the Library
Boston Public Library is going beyond books and getting fancy! On Wednesday, The BPL at Copley will open the Map Room Tea Lounge and will be serving up high tea with the addition of tea-inspired cocktails. Enjoy a Tequila Mockingbird, made with blood orange hibiscus tea-infused tequila. Or how about the Catcher in the Rye, made with apple berry tea-infused rye? Can you spot a theme here? All cocktails have literary inspired names. The Map Room will also serve cheese and charcuterie and other snacks that go perfect with cocktails. You can check out the menu here!

The 17th Annual Taste of South Boston takes place on Sunday, April 7th at 6pm. Featuring over 30 of Southie’s best restaurants, eateries, and specialty food shops, attendees will get to sample some amazing culinary delights. Another bonus? It’s the 4th Annual Perry Rocks! Support South Boston’s only waterfront public school at this fun event! Dance, sing, laugh and drink on Saturday, March 23rd from 7pm-Midnight at the Social Register – 401 D Street! Live music by Southie’s favorite band – Thomas Park. Each Friday evening, GrandTen Distilling will open the distillery doors to those interested in a more in-depth understanding of handcrafted spirits. Offering a detailed tour, followed by a relaxed tasting of our full line of products (along with special, limited-run spirits not available anywhere else), you’ll keep a tasting glass as a souvenir. These tastings will include discussions on mixology, the history of Boston spirits, and the spirit world more generally.
