Lace up your sneakers: 5K at the Lawn on D

Don’t miss the first annual 5K at The Lawn On D!  This USATF-certified race will begin and end at The Lawn On D with the course running entirely on convention center property.   This fun event will take place on Saturday, September 28th at 10am! Stick around for post run party with Southie’s favorite band, Thomas Park! Registration fee: $10 (includes a race bib, finisher medal, and long-sleeve runner shirt) Less than 1,000 spots available!  You can register here!

Fall Football Beer Garden at Coppersmith featuring Smuttynose

All September long, Coppersmith will be hosting a beer garden every Thursday & Friday at 4pm and Saturdays and Sundays at Noon.  Featuring 6 rotating Smuttynose beers including specialty releases and award winning classics, Thursday happy hour appetizer specials, football on projection plus merchandise for sale!  It’s the last weekend of September so put it on your list.

BARK in the Park

Enjoy a morning fitness walk along the Greenway and the Boston Harborwalk with your favorite pup! Join National Park Rangers and staff for a 1.5-mile walk from the Boston Harbor Island Welcome Center along the Greenway and Boston Harborwalk followed by tips, treats, and fun for you and your pet! Canines earn an official badge during our B.A.R.K. Ranger swearing-in ceremony. Walk departs at 9:00 am from the Boston Harbor Island Welcome Center and will conclude with the badge ceremony and other activities.  You can learn more here! 

Shred It and Forget it

Shred it!  Forget it!  Mass Bay Credit Union is hosting their wildly popular shredding event!  Members and residents who live in the community are invited to bring any documents that contain sensitive information and have them shredded safely and for free!  There is a five-box maximum.  This event will take place on Saturday, September 28th from 9am-11:30am at their Southie branch!

Patriots vs. Bills – Sunday, September 29th at 1pm

Yoga with a Ranger

Sundays in September enjoy a free yoga class on Dorchester Heights with Crystal Rose Hines – certified yoga instructor and National Park Ranger.  Takes place from 10am-11am.  Don’t forget your mat and water!
