Eat:
’Tis the season! It’s back! Head to Amrheins for their famous Pumpkin Risotto. It’s back in all its rich and deliciousness and we guaranteed you’ll feel instantly comforted with the first bite. (Bonus: it’s served in a real hollowed out pumpkin!)

Drink:
Raise your stein, it’s Oktoberfest at Dorchester Brewing It’s that time of year – cooler temperatures, leaves changing color and Oktoberfest! Dorchester Brewing is celebrating the official Oktoberfest Kick-Off with lots of fresh Oktoberfest beer served in traditional German liter steins. If you needed any excuse to wear that German lederhosen and dirndls hanging in your closet, then nows your chance! This festive celebration with expanded capacity (plenty of room for all!) will make you feel like you’re in Munich including a live German band, traditional food and all things Oktoberfest and to keep things going, they also got a DJ to end the night!Doors open at 11:30am – first 300 people to purchase an Oktoberfest beer gets a free branded Oktoberfest mug (one per person)!This event is FREE!  For more details visit here!

Pick:
How’d ya like them apples? It’s that time of year again. The kids are back in school. The air is just crisp enough to put on your favorite sweater and the urge to head out to the country and pick apples is overwhelming. So venture out of Southie this weekend and pick yourself a bushel and peck of farm fresh apples. Here are some spots that we like!

Burpees & Brunch:
On Saturday September 22nd, CrossFit Southie and Area Four Boston are joining forces to present Burpees & Brunch. Start the weekend off right with a killer workout class from 9:30am-10:30am at CrossFit Southie. Then, stroll over to Area Four Boston to fuel up for the rest of the day! Starting off with family-style apps, each guest will choose a brunch entree and then finish with a small sweet treat. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased here! 

Dance:
Kick it old school Southie-style at Seapoint. Revisit the good old days and enjoy Southie DJ legend Dru Errico as he spins the tunes at Seapoint Saturday night beginning at 8pm. Plan on dancing the night away to such local favorites like Happy Radio and Young Hearts Run Free!No cover charge. Plenty of parking!

Breathe:
Well, since it’s National Yoga Month – another yoga class! This one with East Side Yoga at Publico’s rooftop! It’s a $10 cash class on Sunday, September 23rd from 11am-12pm. Stick around for brunch later! Your class fee includes one free mimosa with your brunch. (Brunch not included.) Don’t forget your mat and water. Sign up online, bring cash with you to class!

Swing:
Kick it old school and enjoy award-winning crooner Rich DiMare and The Ron Poster Trio to the Supper Club stage on Sunday evenings for the ultimate dinner and a show experience. The Supper Club at Capo now features Sinatra Sundays to their weekly music lineup with dinner on one of the 10 stage-front tables during the show, or head to the Supper Club after dinner in the dining room for cocktails or dessert from Pastry Chef Kate Holowchik while enjoying the live music. The Supper Club Doors open at 5pm every Sunday, with Sinatra Sundays live music from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Dinner reservations for the stage-side tables are available on Opentable, or by calling 617-993-8080.

Box:
Box for Irish Step!Take a women’s boxing class on Friday September 21st at 7pm at Grealish Boxing Club at 79 Freeport Street.  This hour long class will get your heart pumping and it will be helping raise money for the Woods School of Irish Dance!  Cost is $20.  To reserve your spot text Nicola at 617-449-8391.

Run:
Island run.  If you like to run then you’ll love this adventure!  Head to Spectacle Island on Sunday, September 22nd for a 5K or 5M for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Island Run.  Registration Fee: $50 – includes lunch, post celebration beverages (must be 21+) and boat ride.   Learn more here!
