’Tis the season! It’s back! Head to Amrheins for their famous Pumpkin Risotto. It’s back in all its rich and deliciousness and we guaranteed you’ll feel instantly comforted with the first bite. (Bonus: it’s served in a real hollowed out pumpkin!)

Raise your glass! It’s that time of year again at Grand Ten Distilling. This Saturday October 13th, let’s celebrate the release their annual North County Straight Apple Brandy! Now that’s the kinda apple picking we love! The event is free to the public, no tickets are required. There will be Family-friendly pumpkin painting from 1-3 pm, tours of the distillery, delicious BBQ, music by the Bagboys starting at 7pm and of course, plenty of cocktails made with North County Apple Brandy!

Bring your treasures and see what it’s worth! It’s the Hidden Treasures Skinner Event at the Laboure. Have you ever wondered about the value of that family heirloom or yard sale find? Enjoy a professional Skinner appraisal on Saturday, October 13th from 10am-3pm. If you love public art, you’ll love this new and exciting art instillation right here in the neighborhood!  Spanish artist Okuda San Miguel has unveiled seven large scale sculptures located throughout the Seaport District!  Get the scoop here! 

Tour:
Have you ever wanted to see the inside of the Edison? Don’t miss our public tour this Saturday, 10/13 and 10/20 from 9am-10am. It’s a chance to get a look at the beautiful historic turbine halls and hear about our plans for the site.  For more information about this project visit here!

Bring your kids, your pups, your friends, your everyone for a day of family fun at our 2nd annual BARCtoberfest on Sunday, October 14th 11AM-5PM! This is BARC’s biggest, family friendly, pet friendly event of the year! Come for live music, great beer, cute pups, fun games, creative workshops, and more! Cheer:
If you love sports, you must be psyched for this weekend! The Bruins face the Oilers on Thursday night at 7pm and then the Red Wings at 3pm on Saturday. On Saturday night, it’s the Red Sox vs. the Astros ALCS Game 1 at 8:09pm and again on Sunday night at 7:09pm. Also on Sunday night, the Pats play the Chiefs at 8:20pm.  Wondering where to watch?  We’ve got some suggestions!

Run, Walk and Roll! Register for the DAV 5K on November 10th at Castle Island for the 3rd annual DAV 5K. The DAV 5K is an event that thanks and honors those who served and raises awareness of the issues our ill and injured veterans face every day. You can register here!
