South Boston Story Time at the Library

Join Dani, the Librarian, for Story Time at the South Boston Branch on Friday, December 29th, from 10:30-11am. The story time is great for children ages 0-5. A great way to spend a Friday morning with the family. 

NYE Waterfront Ice Sculpture Stroll

Boston Harbor Now is hosting an Ice Sculpture Stroll on the Waterfront. Follow the sculptures to over a dozen sites. There will be a celebrity appearance from Betty the Yeti at Envoy from 1-2pm and at One Seaport Courtyard from 3-5pm. Envoy will also be hosting a Touch a Truck/Boat event from 12-4pm, featuring a vintage fire truck, patrol cars, US Coast Guard and more! Guaranteed fun for the whole family!

First Night Boston

First Night Boston, New England’s largest New Year’s Eve party, returns to celebrate the start of 2023 at City Hall Plaza. The free and family-friendly event runs from 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 31, 2023, through 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 1, 2024.  The event features a wide range of local musicians, artists, and performers at indoor and outdoor venues. Learn the history of First Night Boston here! 

Expect dazzling ice sculptures, the “First Night Boston Parade,” a laser and pyrotechnic show, and two sets of fireworks to excited audiences. From organ concerts to hip-hop and country music to figure skating, a full schedule and event details are now available at www.firstnightboston.org.
