Eat:
Fat Baby has a new menu you should try this weekend! Featuring new items like Mushroom Dumplings,Chicken Karaage aka Japanese Style fried chicken tenders, new maki and sharable cocktails like Nobody Puts Baby in a Corner made with dark and light rum, triple sec, orgeat, lime and angostura!  Speaking of Fat Baby, have you read our profile on Culinary Director Nick Dickson yet?

Drink:
We jammin’! Order up a tropical cocktail and unwind into the weekend with Conscious Reggae at Backyard Betty’s on Friday night at 10pm!

See:
Baby it’s cold outside! Back for the third year, The Envoy Hotel is heating things up with the installation of igloos (YES, igloos) on its ever-popular Lookout Roofdeck & Bar. The 7-foot-tall, 12-foot-wide weatherproof igloos are heated, of course, and are perfect for sipping cocktails while enjoying those skyline and harbor views. The igloos are available on a first come, first served basis on Wednesdays-Saturdays from 4-11pm. You’ll see some gorgeous views of the city!

Do:
Honor and remember. On Saturday, November 10th there will be a South Boston Veterans Day Social at Sixth Gear from 6pm-9pm. This will be a celebration of Boston’s Veterans and those who support them. Stop by!

Shop:
Head to Capo on Saturday, November 10th from 11:30am-2:30pm for a local pop up! Shop Habit, Wear+Wares and Camden Hydes then stick around and treat yourself to some brunch before or after!

Run:
Ready, set, go! The DAV 5K to honor veterans is a run, walk, roll and motorcycle ride that thanks those who served and raises awareness of the issues our ill and injured veterans face every day. The race takes place at Castle Island on Saturday, November 10th at 9am. $25 for adults, $15 for youth 6-15. To register visit here! Free for veterans!

Remember:
Thomas J. Fitzgerald Post (715 East Fourth Street) – will celebrate Veteran’s Day on Sunday at 9:45 a.m with a parade march to St. Brigid’s Church and a memorial Mass at 10:30am.

Support:
The CIA (Castle Island Association) is hosting a special Veterans Day Weekend “Support the Troops” toiletry drive! Volunteers will be setting up a spot in front of Sullivan’s Saturday-Monday 10am-12pm! After you’re done doing your good deed, order yourself a half price hot dog at Sully’s!

Watch:
The Patriots take on the Titans on Sunday at 1pm.  Wondering where you should watch!  Here are some recommendations!

Bowl:
Troops bowl free every day of the Veteran’s Day weekend and Monday, November 12th at Kings Dining and Entertainment. All veterans, active, and reserve military members will receive one free game and shoe rental. All military members must show proof of service.

Unwind:
East Side Yoga and Fitness is hosting a Restorative Relaxation Yoga Workshop with Audrey Tesserot on Saturday, November 10th from 4pm-6pm. Learn how to sanction rejuvenation postures softer your nervous system, restore body and find inner peace as you prepare for the holiday season. Sounds like heaven. You can register here!

Register:
Put on your Santa hat, lace up those sneakers and get ready to run for a great local school – South Boston Catholic Academy. On Saturday, December 1st at 9am join your friends and neighbors and run a 5K race along the South Boston beaches. Start and finish is at South Boston Catholic Academy at 866 East Broadway. Stick around for a post-race party with prizes, raffles, food and fun! There is also fun for the kids on deck too with two youth races. At 9:00am – 100 Meter Dash for kids (9 and under) and at 9:30 a 1/2 mile run (14 and under). If you preregister by November 30th, it’s $30. Post-registration is $35. Youth preregistration is is $15 and post-registration is $20. To register visit here!
