This season, Row 34 is getting festive with our annual Holiday Pop-up Shop every Sunday in December from 4:00pm – 6:00pm. Help support local artists and makers rooted in the Fort Point artists community. Swing by for free small bites and bevvies while finding the perfect gifts for everyone on your list! Stick around fro post shopping dinner Row 34 features a menu of fresh seafood, steaks, homemade pasta, and a raw bar. They also have an extensive beer and wine list. Drink:
Ice, Ice, Baby! Grab your parka and head to the Envoy Hotel at the Lookout Bar’s six rooftop igloos. The 7-foot-tall, 12-foot-wide weatherproof igloos are heated, of course, and are perfect for sipping cocktails while enjoying those skyline and harbor views. The igloos are available on a first come, first served basis on Wednesday-Saturdays from 4-10pm through the winter and fleece blankets are available to keep you extra cozy.

Tour:
The US Navy’s newest destroyer the USS Thomas Hudner is docked at the Flynn Terminal in Southie!  A special commissioning ceremony will take place on Saturday, December 1st and free tours will be available Saturday-Thursday!

See:
There’s not one but two tree lightings this weekend in Southie! First it’s Light Up the Seaport! Please join us in celebrating the most magical season of the year at our third annual tree lighting, Light Up Seaport on Friday, November 30th at 6pm. Enjoy live holiday tunes, treats from Seaport restaurants, and giveaways! You’re also invited you to warm up in adjacent District Hall as you explore A Year in Seaport, a new photography exhibit opening in celebration of our incredible neighborhood. This program highlights powerful visuals captured across the community in the past 365 days, and showcases the work of Fort Point resident George Vasquez, who has been documenting all of the development and movement in Seaport since last year’s holiday season. Drinks are available for purchase at Gather, and activities will be set out for the littler Light Up guests. This holiday event celebrates Seaport’s support of Massachusetts Fallen Heroes and The Gavin Foundation. On Sunday, December 9th (moved from December 2nd – due to rain) at 12pm, head to M Street Park for a good old fashioned tree lighting complete with Santa, carols, hot chocolate and more! For the 22nd year, the Mayor’s Enchanted Trolley Tour will continue the festive tradition of lighting holiday trees while bringing holiday spirit to children across Boston. The event is sponsored by Bank of America! We hear there will be ponies, a juggler and balloon animals! Yes!!

Do:
This December marks the 28th annual Laboure Christmas House Tour of South Boston. Hosted by Catholic Charities, this important fundraiser features homes in South Boston decorated for Christmas by local designers. Five homes are selected and decorated by a team of Boston professional design firms and opened to the public by the generous homeowners to raise money for the social services provided by Catholic Charities Laboure Center. Purchase a ticket today! There are two tours – Saturday, December 1st at 4pm and Sunday, December 2nd at 12pm.For tickets, visit here! 

Decorate:
Deck the halls! Christmas is coming, it’s time to deck the halls! Here are some places to pick up a tree, wreath and more! How about some ornaments and decorations? The Laboure (275 West Broadway) is hosting a special Christmas Shoppe this weekend. This boutique will feature amazing holiday decorating ideas as well as holiday gift items and it’s guilt-free shopping. Not only will you be getting yourself ready for the holidays, you’ll also be supporting an important South Boston organization! So it’s good karma! Stop by on Saturday, December 1st 10am-8pm and Sunday, December 2nd 10am-4pm.

In the spirit of the holiday season, we’ve partnered up with some of our favorite neighborhood businesses, for a special Instagram 12 Days of Giveaways! So if you’re not following us on Instagram, you need to do it now!  You might win anything from a gift card to your favorite restaurant to your soon to be favorite pair of earrings or your new favorite hoodie! Showtime:
The Fourth Presbyterian Church Children’s Theater presents Seussical the Musical on Friday, November 30th and Saturday, December 1st at 7pm.  Children ages 5 to 12 perform all your favorites from this musical!  This event is FREE but donations will be collected to help fund scholarships to the program!

It’s the Fifth Annual Warm Accessories Drive for the South Boston Neighborhood House!  Drop off warm gloves and hats to the South Boston Post Office now through mid December.  Look for the box in the lobby!  This is the the perfect time of years to help out our fellow South Boston neighbors in need!

    There is conflicting information on this site about the M Street tree lighting. Can you confirm its for Sunday, Dec 2ND at 12pm?

    Also – is there a rain date? Its supposed to rain like crzay on Sunday! Thanks!
