Explore art this weekend! A spring open studios weekend at Boston’s first live/work artists cooperative: explore studios, meet artists, and see new works, all under one roof. Artists of the 249 A Street Cooperative building will open their doors for a spring Open Studios event Saturday, May 12th and Sunday, May 13th – 12pm-5pm both days. Many studios in the South Boston artists’ cooperative will be open, and invited guest artists will be joining in to exhibit. The event offers an opportunity to view and purchase artwork from a variety of artists, including painters, photographers, printmakers, book artists, potters, sculptors, mixed-media artists, and jewelers, all conveniently located in one building. FREE VALIDATED PARKING across the street in the Channelside Parking Lot, thanks to P&G/Gillette and Channelside Parking.

Do something different this year for mom! Revel in springtime florals by the thousands while celebrating Mother’s Day #FlowerPop, a pop-up experience consisting of bursts of blooms that give back, is coming to Seaport May 12th and May 13th. Throughout the weekend, blooms from #FlowerPop will be given away to the first 100 people stopping by each day, and making this Instagram worthy activation a charitable one, $1 will be given to Rosie’s Place for every social media post using #FlowerPop. #FlowerPop will be an aerial visual as flowers from Wildfolk Studio take over an excavator located near Courthouse Square. Look for painted and non-painted sun palms, palm leaves, soft blooms in roses, peonies, ranunculus, as well as textured pieris japonica, flowering branches, spirea and greenery. We can’t wait!

Play:
Play Volleyball at the Lawn on D for the Truly the Start of the Summer Tournament! Come join Truly for a volleyball tournament to kick off the summer at The Lawn On D! The tournament starts at 3:00 pm with two nets set-up on The Lawn. Teams of four will compete (registration | rules) and the winning team gets FOUR VIP tickets to the Boston Calling Music Festival!!!
