Office Hours with South Boston Liaison

Ecological Gardening Basics for Small Gardens with Cheryl Rafuse at SB Public Library
Do you want to start incorporating native plants in your garden to support our local ecosystems? Get rid of potentially invasive plants on your property? Not sure where to start? This lecture will bring you through the ins and outs of installing a pollinator-friendly garden, container garden, or mini-meadow and some best practices for the most eco-friendly garden possible. North Shore native plant gardener Cheryl Rafuse will tell you all about the bees and butterflies, flowers and shrubs, and the easiest ways to start incorporating keystone species into your gardens and containers no matter the size. Nautilus Pier 4 Now Serves Saturday Lunch

The House is Where the Heart is – a fundraiser for the South Boston Neighborhood House – Benefit and Auction takes place on Friday, March 28th at the Seaport World Trade Center. Tickets are $125 and include complimentary beverages and hors d’oeuvres. Always a local favorite, this event is sure to be filled with Southie’s best and brightest and this year organizers are shaking things up in the raffle department! Her perfect day would be going on a stroll to get a coffee, followed by lunch at Loco, then drinks at Hunter’s, and grabbing a slice of pizza for the walk home.
