Recreation Station is Back

Oxford Properties and Pappas Enterprises are gearing up for the summer with all new seasonal activities at Recreation Station, South Boston’s free game and activity lending library. Recreation Station is filled with items for public use such as fitness gear, lawn games, books, family activities and more! Access the space using a simple combination. Either enter your information here or text the number listed on the front of the lending library to receive the lock box code. Then enjoy an array of seasonal activities, all yours for the borrowing. The Recreation Station is open to the public from 7am to 9pm on the waterfront along Pappas Way, the street connecting South Boston to Boston’s Seaport.  Make sure to follow them on Facebook for the latest news on special classes, activities and more!

On Friday, $1 of every cup of coffee sold at Deja Brew will be donated to Kick Off 4 Kids!

SB Kickoff 4 Kids

The Annual South Boston Kickoff For Kids will take place on Saturday, June 25th with flag football games starting at 9:30am and 10 teams of women battling it out until only one champion remains! Stop by and show your support – DJ Kait will be spinning the tunes – and purchase some swag! SB Kickoff 4 Kids is a non-profit that supports hundreds of youths and teens in the community a year! Takes place at the Pop Warner Field next to the skating rink! Let’s go!

Breathe Life Together Event

This community event will take place on Saturday from 2pm-6pm.  Free and open to all, this event will feature a pop-up roller rink, free skate rentals, live music, performances, DJs, painting, and food trucks to celebrate and activate Rob “ProBlak” Gibbs’ mural Breathe Life Together. Together, we aim to cultivate an accessible, collective public space of joy, care, sustenance, and belonging that centers and supports diverse communities, families, and youth from across Boston.

Drag Queen Story Hour

In celebration of Pride, Seaport by WS Development announces a summer long partnership with Drag Queen Story HourThis new season-long family-friendly series kicks off on Sunday, June 12th. Hosted by local drag queen star, Patty Bourrée, the fun and engaging series provides a space that encourages kids to celebrate themselves and others. Drag Queen Story Hour captures the imagination and play of childhood and provides families and kids with positive and unabashedly queer role models. The series is complimentary and open to the public. Black Owned Boston Pop Up in Seaport
