It’s the return of the annual Donna Summer Disco event on Friday, June 16th from 5pm-9pm at City Hall Plaza! Boston-born disco legend Donna Summer was a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a five-time Grammy winner, and sold over 140 million records worldwide. She was born in Dorchester and was raised in Mission Hill before rising to stardom in the 1970s. She passed away at the age of 62 years old on May 17, 2012. This annual event honors her life and celebrates her music and legacy in Boston! Wear your dance shoes!

Comedian Greg Fitzsimmons appearing at Laugh Boston this Weekend

Mixing an incisive wit with scathing sarcasm, Greg Fitzsimmons has achieved success as a stand-up, Emmy Award winning writer and host on both radio and TV. Greg is host of The Greg Fitzsimmons Show, on SiriusXM’s “Howard 101”and twice a week puts out the hugely popular FitzDog Radio podcast. A regular on @Midnight, Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel, and The Tonight Show, Greg has made more than 50 visits to The Howard Stern Show.  Fitzsimmons is appearing at Laugh Boston Friday + two shows on Saturday.  Purchase your tickets here.

Father’s Day Frogman Swim in Boston Harbor – Caught in Eastie

The Boston Frogman Swim is a 5K swim in Boston Harbor in honor of the SEAL community’s fallen warriors, and the event raises support for the Navy SEAL Foundation and Gold Star support programs – NSF’s resilience programming. This year on Father’s Day, over 30 Gold Star family members of the Navy SEAL community will participate or cheer on over 90 swimmers. Swimmers include former SEALs, special operations veterans, military family members, and supporters, and over 60 safety kayakers will paddle alongside this year’s swimmers.  Takes place on Sunday with opening ceremony in East Boston at Piers Park Sailing Center- 95 Marginal Street at 7:45am.  Swim/Volunteer and Donations can be made here!

Free Admission to ICA on Juneteenth

Free tickets are required for museum admission and will be available to reserve beginning on Sunday, June 18 at 10 AM. Free, timed tickets are required for the ICA Water Shuttle, bringing visitors to the ICA Watershed, and tickets will be available on Sunday, June 18 at 10 AM. Southie Saturday Run Club with MySTRYDE

Join MyStryde every Saturday at 8:30am from the South Boston studio for a 6-mile loop. Think you won’t have runners in your pace group? Think again!
