Weekend Picks – Father’s Day Edition

Do:
It’s the Lawn on D Signature Event Series: Lawn of Champions featuring Citizens Bank Community Partners on June 16th beginning at 12noon. Come see the Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins, New England Revolution, Boston Cannons, Boston Breakers, championship trophies! There will be giveaways, interactive experiences basketball hoops, soccer goal shoot-out, fast pitch setup, slap shot challenge, and mini golf competition! We also hear that Wally The Green Monster, Lucky the Leprechaun, Blades the Bruin, and Boomer will also be there! There will also be live music, food and fun! For a full schedule visit here!

Eat:
Treat Dad to dinner and a show at Capo’s Supper Club. Doors open at 5:00pm for Sinatra Sunday, where you can kick back with dinner and drinks to live music by Rich DiMare and the Ron Poster trio. You’ll want to book your table ahead of time to sit stage adjacent! Availability: 5:00-10:00pm

Drink:
Trillium Brewing released a beer this week in honor of beloved Boston street performer Keytar Bear. The double IPA, which features honey,and vanilla is available at both of the Trillium’s breweries in Canton and Boston. A four-pack of the Keytar Bear brew costs $22.20 and there’s a one case limit.

Workout:
Lace up your sneakers and take part in this family-friendly fitness event which includes a certified 5K race and walk, youth races and Reebok-led classes on the scenic South Boston Waterfront. Post race enjoy live entertainment with Dalton & the Sheriffs, an expo, beer garden, food, and fun for the whole family! This fun filled day of fitness takes place on Sunday, June 17th at 9am. Compete:
Moonshine 152 and Ghost Tequila are partnering up for a special Spicy Wing Eating Contest! This hot event takes place on Saturday, June 16th from 2pm-4pm.

Sweat:
Join the BURNIN’ by Ray team and lululemon for a 50-minute workout with lots of energy and fun! This workout is for all ages and fitness levels. The workout will consist of nine 4-minute circuits, followed by a 1-minute break, before moving to the next circuit.  Each circuit will contain two non-competitive body weight exercises, performed for 20 seconds each, followed by 10 seconds of rest, before moving to the next exercise. After the workout is complete, there will be time to stretch. Registration is mandatory. All walk-ins will be required to register onsite.  Price: FREE. Sign-up here.

Watch:
If the World Cup is your jam, Publico is hosting a viewing party on Thursday, June 14th at 8pm. Come watch Russia vs. Saudi Arabia! Kings in the Seaport District want to be your World Cup Headquarters! Featuring many HDTVs with sound turned on for the games, giant mugs of beer, 40 beers on tap, game-day favorites like pizzas, burgers, wings, and nachos! Post game, enjoy bowling, billiards, air hockey, shuffleboard, and the barcade!

Take me out to the ballgame! If you love vintage baseball, then you’ll love this! Travel back in time to 1886 and watch some old time baseball!
