Carbo-load! Whether you’re running the Marathon or just cheering for someone running it, you can carbo-load your way around Southie this week!  Check out our roundup here! 

Drink:
Raise your glass! Samuel Adams Boston 26.2 Brew is our beer brewed in partnership with the Boston Athletic Association to celebrate the Boston Marathon. Back for its seventh year, Samuel Adams Boston 26.2 Brew is our beer brewed in partnership with the Boston Athletic Association to celebrate the Boston Marathon. $.25 for each pint of Samuel Adams Boston 26.2 Brew sold will benefit Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital’s Adaptive Sports Centers, a program that promotes and grants access to sports and recreation as part of the rehabilitation process- as well as in everyday life-to those with disabilities.  Stop by these Southie establishments and order up a pint (or two)!

Laugh:
Need a laugh? Boston Comedy Come Up with host Tony V will do the trick! This laugh a minute event takes place on Saturday, April 14th at 7:30pm at the Shubert Theater. This round up features comics that are destined to become the “next big thing” in the national comedy scene. Don’t miss Dan Boulger, Bethany Van Delft, Mike Whitman, Lamont Price, Dan Crohn, Orlando Baxter, Graig Murphy and our friend Will Noonan! Tickets starts at $31 and can be purchased here! 

Workout:
In celebration of the Marathon, a fun run event is happening in the Seaport and East Side Yoga has special Boston Marathon classes this weekend!  Get the details here! 

Pray:
Pray for us runners! Our Lady of Good Voyage/Seaport Shrine is hosting a special mass for all the participants of the Boston Marathon on Sunday, April 15th at 7pm with a special blessing for the runners!

Volunteer:
Pitch in on One Boston Day with MR8! One Boston Day is fast approaching and The Martin Richard Foundation will host a community Day of Service that includes a dozen service projects throughout Dorchester and a Service Village at Town Field. A moment of silence will be held at Town Field at 2:49 p.m. We would love more of our neighbors to come join us to volunteer. For more information, visit here!

Watch:
Bruins are in the playoffs!  They face the Maple Leafs Thursday night at 7pm and then Saturday night at 8pm.  The Celtics are also in the playoffs – they face the Bucks on Sunday at at 1pm.  The Red Sox play the Yankees Thursday at 7:10 then take on the Orioles Friday at 7:10, Saturday at 1:05pm and then Sunday at 1:05pm.  On Marathon Monday they play at 11:05am.  Wondering where to watch?  We’ve got the scoop!

Cheer:
Heading in to root for the runners on Marathon Monday?  Wondering about traffic, where to park and what streets will be closed? The City of Boston has some handy information you can read!   Our advice is to take an Uber!  The first batch of runners departs at 8:40 a.m., and the final wave starts running at 11:15 a.m.
