DJ Ariel Pink will be spinning the tunes on the ICA’s deck as part of their summer Fridays from 6:30pm-10pm. $10 for members and $20 for general admission. You can learn more here. 

Blue Eyed Boy

Order up a Blue Eyed Boy from Local 149 and help support Colin’s Joy Project.  This cocktail is made with vodka, muddled blueberries, watermelon puree, and lemon in a short glass over ice. $5 from every delicious cocktail sold will go to Colin’s Joy Project!

Take a Tour

The Castle Island Association (CIA) has been giving free guided tours of Fort Independence on Castle Island for over thirty years. Enjoy a tour every Saturday, Sunday, and on national holidays through the summer from noon till 3:30pm.  Make sure to stop by Sullivan’s to treat yourself to a hot dog or an ice cream!

Glossier in the Seaport

Makeup loving millennials know and love the hip and happening skincare and makeup brand Glossier. So it’s big and exciting news to learn that Glossier is popping up in the Seaport neighborhood on Wednesday! You’ll be able to shop for you Boy Brow in person at the retail village The Current. Did you know that a tube of Boy Brow sold every 32 seconds last year? That’s how popular it is. Glossier will be filling ALL nine spaces at 85 Seaport Boulevard with the outside painting its signature pink. Each of the nine shops will be dedicated to categories like makeup, skincare, and fragrance.

Just breathe

C2 is hosting a special Breathwork workshop on Sunday at 4:30pm with Amy Jo Accardi. Transformational Breathwork is an active meditation practice that supports positive life transformation,clutter-clearing old emotional baggage, maintaining better boundaries, starting new and meaningful projects, and being honest with yourself that you wantmore out of your life, and you’re ready to take an active and aligned role in creating it. Similar to Pranayama, you’ll learn a simple breathing technique, and I’ll lead you through 25 minutes of active breathing, paired with great music, essential oils to align the chakras and white desert sage to cleanse and refine your energy. This is an enlightening and transformative experience that will make you feel more clear, inspired and in touch with your life’s purpose. Dress comfortably. Bring your journal and an eye pillow or scarf to cover your eyes during practice. You can sign up here. 

Learn to Knit with Athleta

Third Piece is hosting a learn to knit and shopping event on Sunday at 2pm! In this class, you’ll be learning the fundamental knitting techniques: Casting on, the Knit Stitch, Binding Off, and basic sewing and finishing techniques. Athleta believes in Movement, Performance, Design, Sisterhood, and Sustainability. Featuring some of their most-loved products and designs, Athleta and Third Piece will give everyone attending a 20% off discount to use in their store, and will also raffle off a $75 gift card!  You can sign up here! 

The Beach is that Way

Have you checked out Publico Beach Club yet? The interior courtyard and garden space has been transformed into a lively, beach inspired pop-up concept tucked away in the middle of the neighborhood. Featuring retractable roof, frozen drinks, cabana-style seating, nautical decor and maritime kitsch, the beach club is open Friday 4:00 pm – 1:00 am, Saturday 11:00 am – 1:00 am and Sunday 11:00 am – Midnight.

Caught in Chinatown

Enjoy the 50th annual Chinatown August Moon Festival with live performances of Chinese dance, music, and martial arts. Street fair with food and merchandise vendors, sponsor tables, and arts and crafts booths. This event is open to the general public. Takes place on Sunday from 10am-5pm
