National Pickleball Day at PKL
Celebrate National Pickleball Day at PKL on Thursday, August 8th! Enjoy all-day courts from 7am-to 10pm, half-priced courts, half-priced food (bar only), and Doubles Ladder Play from 7:30 to 9:30pm!
Mei Mei Dumpling Factory Kids Class
Join Mei Mei Dumpling Factory for a fun-filled dumpling-making class for kids on Saturday, August 10th at 1:30pm. After students learn how to fold our favorite shapes, they’ll get to eat their creations with a variety of dipping sauces from our sauce station. Students proudly take home the dumplings they made, a recipe card, and all the skills needed to recreate dumpling magic in the comfort of their own homes. This class is 90 minutes long and recommended for kids ages 8-12. You can purchase your tickets here!
Go See It! Matt & Ben, a Play Presented by South Boston Theater Works
Matt & Ben is an hour-long, full-length comedy play presented by South Boston Theater Works, founded by Brenny O’Brien. Performances will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m. and Friday at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the South Boston Neighborhood House. You can get your tickets here!
Bardo’s is featuring Cereal Pizza + Day & Night Cereal Bar Pop-Up
On Saturday, August 10th, 2024, locals looking to celebrate and support the community, or just those looking to try something unique, can make their way to Bardo’s for…cereal pizza. The Bardo’s team will be featuring the exclusive Peanut Butter Crunch Thai Chicken Bar Pizza ($16), a creative blend of sweet and savory flavors featuring Thai peanut sauce, roasted chicken, broccoli, cheese, red peppers, and topped with Captain Crunch Peanut Butter cereal from the Day & Night team, sesame seeds, and cilantro. The pizza special will be available from 11:00AM to 11:00PM on the day of the event. In addition to this pizza special, the Day & Night Cereal Bar team will be popping up in the space from 12:00PM to 2:00PM serving up their fan favorites for purchase. Excited to jump on the cereal pizza bandwagon? Not sure if cereal belongs on pizza? Try for yourself from 11:00AM to 11:00PM on Saturday, August 10th. This event is walk-in only. Downward Dog Yoga
Giving downward dog a whole new meaning! Enjoy an hour of yoga outdoors with your dog! Yes, your dog! Two local yoga instructors are teaching the classes every Sunday in August! South Boston Walking Tour: Bar and Historic Moments
Take a stroll around town and enjoy Southie’s iconic bars along the way! The walking tour will take place Saturday August 10th. It will start at 12pm at Broadway Station and end along the harborwalk.
