Never forget! Our Lady of Good Voyage/Seaport Shrine is hosting a special prayer service of remembrance on Tuesday, September 11th at 7pm. In addition to the prayer service there will be a candlelit procession from the Shrine to the Massachusetts Fallen Heroes Memorial.
Get moving! The City of Boston is hosting a Boston Wellness Week September 10th-15th including the Big Quiet – a mass meditation event at Fenway Park on Monday and a free a free, day-long Boston Social Fitness Festival on Saturday. Tuesday through Thursday, you’ll be able to take a midday break at the Patios on City Hall Plaza with an “office recess,” complete with free games, snacks, and drinks. At the festival participate in classes like Day Breakers Dance Experience and BollyX Workout and CorePower Yoga. Listen to the music! The Boston Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet will perform in Seaport Common next Thursday, September 13, 6:00-7:30PM. The performance will include a compelling blend of light classics, pop favorites and contemporary hits. Delicious bites and drinks from local businesses will be available. Save the Date! It’s the 3rd Annual Burkie’s Walk and Pig Roast! Lace up your sneakers and walk around Castle Island to raise money for the Michael Burke Foundation – which helps families in and around the Boston area battling cancer.Post walk enjoy a Pig Roast, burgers, hot dogs and more while you watch the Pats take on the Dolphins at 1pm.
