Rock n Roll All Night! Kings Dining and Entertainment Back Bay is hosting a Back to the 80’s Karaoke Night: Rock of Ages 10th Anniversary Tour Karaoke Night on October 18th 8pm-11pm! Maybe you can belt out “Any Way You Want It” by Journey or maybe “I Wanna Rock” by Twister Sister is more of your jam? Reservations encouraged! 1st & 2nd place wins two tickets to Rock of Ages. Bypass Road is open! MassDOT announced beginning Monday, October 15th all traffic will be able to use section of the South Boston Bypass Road and a portion of 93 HOV lane. This will kickoff a 12-month pilot program. The full traffic pattern changes that will be implemented 24/7 through this pilot program include allowing unrestricted eastbound travel on the South Boston Bypass Road between I-93 Frontage Road and Cypher Street/Richards Street and allowing unrestricted travel in both directions of the South Boston Bypass Road between Cypher Street/Richards Street and West Service Road. Additionally, access to the I-93 HOV lane from the following areas leading to Logan International Airport will also be unrestricted: the I-93 northbound mainline, I-93 northbound Frontage Road, and Kneeland Street/Lincoln Street.

Remember Michael “Mickey” Perkins. A special 100th Anniversary Celebration in Memory of Michael J. Perkins – Congressional Medal of Honor recipient will take place on Friday, October 19th at 6:30pm at Florian Hall.  There will be dancing, music, raffles and more!  All proceeds will benefit the Michael J. Perkins Post in South Boston. Tickets are $20. On Saturday, October 20th, a road race will take place at 9am. The 3.32 mile loop will begin and end at M Street/Medal of Honor Park, the location of Perkins’ Medal of Honor obelisk, and be a simple clockwise loop of Pleasure Bay. Registration can be done the morning of the race or online here!
