Coffee, tea or me!  Last week it was revealed that a Starbucks will be opening up at the much coveted spot at L and Broadway. Boy oh boy, did this cause quick a ruckus on social media. A meeting will be held Monday, May 2nd at 6:30pm at the Tynan School cafeteria to discuss it. So if you want to see a Starbucks at L and Broadway – show up. If you don’t want to see a Starbucks at L and Broadway – show up. It should be an entertaining meeting and we’ll there to live tweet it!

DIY with Southie’s favorite handbag designer! Lindsay Tia is hosting a Paint Your Own Tote night on Monday, May 2nd from 6pm-8pm at Lincoln Tavern! Each person will receive a burlap tote bag made by Lindsay Tia to paint and decorate as well as an apron to wear while painting. And they’re off!  It’s the 142nd running of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.  20 horses will compete on one lucky winner will receive a $2 million purse! The most exciting two minutes in sports begins at 6:24pm! A special fundraiser will be held  on Saturday May 7th at Amrheins Restaurant 4:30pm for Mark Delamere!  We hear it will be THE fundraiser of the season.  Wear your big hats and drink up the Mint Juleps!  For more information visit here.
