Ghosts and goblins.  Trick or treat!  Beware of little ghosts and goblins (and their parents) roaming the streets in search for Halloween candy.  East and West Broadway will be filled with trick or treaters on Monday, October 31st from 4pm-6pm picking up candy from local businesses and residences.  So be warned!  This event is free and is hosted by the members of the South Boston Chamber of Commerce.

Coffee buzz.  The buzz around town in the much anticipated Starbucks at the corner of L and Broadway will open this week!  The newest South Boston location hopes to be open for business on Monday, October 31st.  Stop by and welcome them to the neighborhood.

Last hurrah!  Stop by the South Boston Farmers Market on Monday, October 31st for one last time!  Enjoy  live music from 12-3pm, Halloween crafts and pumpkin decorating and special $3 end-Of-season coupons ( as long as supplies last). They will be giving out “treats” from 4-6pm as part of the annual trick-o-treating on West Broadway.T he BPL Bibliocycle will come out from 1:30-3:30pm, and regular farm vendors Wenger’s Farm and Freita’s Farm will be on hand as well as, Samaya’s Middle Eastern Bakery and Shamrock Hives Farm (new meat vendor). Colin from “Tea is the Way” will also be present with his specialty teas from Nepal. So make sure you stop by the municipal lot on West Broadway from 12pm-6pm.

Mix and mingle.  Come celebrate the season of giving with South Boston Neighborhood House!   Get together with your favorite South Boston non-profit to help raise funds for SBNH’s Holiday Helper program, a yearly drive to ensure South Boston’s most vulnerable families have gifts for their children this Holiday season. Your entry fee includes a drink ticket and appetizers, and there will be a number of great raffle items up for grabs!  It all happens Wednesday, November 2nd, from 6-8 at Coppersmith!  Tickets are $35 and can be purchased here!

Support our Southie artists!  On Saturday November 5th and Sunday, November 6th from 12pm-6pm South Boston’s artists and craftspeople will open their doors and share their amazing work with the public. Glow and flow. Trick or treating not your thing? East Side Yoga and Fitness is hosting a special Glow and Flow class on Monday, October 31st at 7:30pm. Join Mandy Stonily for a special Halloween themed black light yoga class! Enjoy an all-levels vinyasa flow in the dark set to Halloween music! Glow sticks will be provided! Regular membership applies or you can pay a $16 drop in rate!
