Street Treats! Enjoy Publico’s new Street Treats menu featuring items like Tacos a La Planchas – fish tacos, with pico de gallo, cabage, guacamole, Chicken Sticks – chicken kebabs, red curry aioli, Street Corn – grilled corn, cilantro, aioli, cotija cheese, chili powder and Arancini – cheddar jack cheese, parmesan, tomato!  This special menu will be offered at the bar, between 5-7 pm from Tuesday-Friday. Each item on the menu is only $5!

Shave and a Haircut! Seaport Barbers is now open. A convenient neighborhood escape, Seaport Barbers delivers a space to take a breath while enjoying a quality haircut or straight razor shave. Inside the quaint, industrial-inspired 600 square foot shop is a melting pot of artists, including its master barber and owner who is a longtime Seaport resident. The shop’s rich chestnut walls and chic black leather chairs (considered the Rolls Royce of shop chairs) offer a luxurious service without the intimidation of a high-end salon.  Open seven days a week: Monday-Friday 8am-7pm, Saturday 8am-6pm, Sunday 9am-5pm. Hop on a Ferry!  The Marina Bay Ferry in Quincy has announced it will add four additional ferry runs direct from Squantum Point Park in Marina Bay, Quincy to Fan Pier in the Seaport District of Boston beginning Monday, October 23,  and running through December 1, 2017. The updated ferry schedule includes two additional runs in the morning from Quincy to Boston and two additional runs in the early evening from Boston to Quincy during peak traffic periods. The streamlined routes will operate Monday through Friday thanks to a new partnership with Bay State Cruise Company and will allow ferry riders to travel directly to their destination in approximately 20 minutes. The added routes include the following:

·               7: 40am departure from Quincy, arriving at Fan Pier at 8:00am

·               8:25am departure from Quincy, arriving at Fan Pier at 8:45am

·               4:55pm departure from Fan Pier, arriving in Quincy at 5:15pm

·               5:40pm departure from Fan Pier, arriving in Quincy at 6:00pm

These new routes have been added based on feedback from commuters, and will help to determine future scheduling for 2018. A one-way ticket costs $9.00 and tickets are available for purchase on board only. Ferry riders are also encouraged to utilize the 780 parking spots available at Squantum Point Park for $5.00 a day. Get ready to dance!  We all know the South Boston Waterfront aka the Seaport District is bustling with many new food and drink spots.  We’ll it’s about to get a little livelier with the addition of not one but two new nightclubs. Big Night Entertainment group –  who brought us Red Lantern and Empire – will be adding The Grand and Scorpion Bar to the list!  The Grand will encompass more than 12,000 square feet complete with giant dance floor.  It will be located at 58 Seaport Blvd.  Right above it will be Scorpion Bar.  Scorpion Bar will feature a Mexican inspired menu, lots of swanky cocktails, margaritas and scorpion bowls.  Expect a nightclub vibe. The Grand will open on October 25th and Scorpion Bar will open the following day on October 26th.

Harvest of Hope! On October 26th, put on your best cocktail attire, head to the Renaissance Hotel and help support help support an important South Boston organization – the South Boston Community Health Center.  This night is sure to be a fabulous evening of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, silent & live auctions  This year’s event will honor Mary Lou Sudders and State Nick Collins.  The fun begins at 6:30pm.  Tickets are $125.
