Decorate your door.  Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, let’s bring on Christmas!  On Monday, November 28th  at 6:30pm in the Tynan School Cafeteria.  Choose between a fresh or artificial wreath, and then get decorating.  There will be plenty of ribbons, pine cones, berries and more for you to choose from.  The cost is $25 per person per wreath.  You can register by email [email protected] Kindly provide your name, address, and type of wreath (fresh/artificial).  You can also purchase wreaths and bows all week log at the Tynan Community Center from Monday, November 28th – Friday, December 2nd from 2pm-9pm.

Sip & Shop. Capo is combining two of our favorite things, cocktails and shopping!  On Monday, November 28th, Capo is hosting a special shopping night!  Featuring pop up shops from Habit, Ku De Ta, Lindsay Tia, Wears+Wares, Pretty Reckless, Covet, Dew Luxe, FriLove Creations, Closet Connection and Fete Collection, promises there will be clothing and accessories for all tastes and styles! Stroll along! Get ready to shop local and celebrate the holiday season!  On Thursday, December 1st take part in the South Boston Christmas Stroll!  This fun-filled event begins at 4pm.  Sip, shop, and dine your way around Southie and take advantage of special discounts and one-night only promotions at local shops and restaurants. There will be holiday entertainment along way!  Enjoy one night of incredible savings at more than 20 local retail establishments, restaurants, salons and specialty pop-up shops throughout South Boston! Caught in Southie will be hosting a special Pop-Up Shop at The Beauty Bar featuring our exclusive “Southie” stemless wine glasses!  We also have a curated selection of beautiful vintage rhinestone brooches and beaded clutches and handbags!

On your mark, get set, go!  Put on your Santa hat, lace up those sneakers and get ready to run for a great local school – South Boston Catholic Academy.  On Saturday, December 4th at 10am join your friends and neighbors and run a 5K race along the South Boston beaches.  Start and finish is at South Boston Catholic Academy at 866 East Broadway.  Stick around for a post-race party with prizes, raffles, food and fun! There is also fun for the kids on deck too with two youth races.  At 9:15 – 100 Meter Dash for kids (9 and under) and at 9:30 a 1/2 mile run (14 and under). If you preregister by November 30th, it’s $20.  Post-registration is $25.  Youth preregistration is is $8 and post-registration is $10.  To register visit here! 

Donate! It’s the Fourth Annual Warm Accessories Drive for the South Boston Neighborhood House!  Drop off warm gloves and hats to the South Boston Post Office now through December 20th.  Look for the box in the lobby!  This is the the perfect time of years to help out our fellow South Boston neighbors in need!
