Row your boat! Seaport TMA and A Better City TMA will go head to head in a Row-off Competition with the help of Boston Rowing Center. South Boston Waterfront commuters will be pitted against downtown Boston commuters in the historic Fort Point Channel – the very location that separates the two. The race, starting at Gillette and finishing at the Barking Crab Restaurant, will take place on August 30th at high noon. The race is sponsored by BGood restaurant who will be supplying gift cards to commuters who participate in the event. The general public is invited to watch the race from the Harbor Walk, beside the Children’s Museum or in front of the InterContinental. This friendly competition is part of Water Transit Month (WTM): a series of events sponsored by various ferry and boat providers, as well as several local Boston companies.

Save the date! It’s a Back-2-School BBQ for the South Boston Boys & Girls Club on Friday, September 9th at 6pm! This fun-filled event will include food, raffles, cash bar, a mechanical bull, giant Jenga, cornhole and The Bachelor’s” DJ Kupah James spinning the tunes! Tickets are $25 and the fun takes place at Coppersmith!

Play LCR for a cause!  LCR is the action packed dice game that is super fun and Southie’s own Shayne Perkins (from Java House) has organized a fundraiser at the Seapoint on Thursday night!  Shayne is heading down to Baton Rougue, LA to help with cleanup and rebuild after the devastating storms and floods that displaced so many!  The fun begins at 6pm.  $20 at the door. Minimum 3 games of LCR . One championship round winner at the end of the night will win 25% of the door!  There will be music featuring the legendary Chachi, raffles, 50/50 and a cash bar.
