Vacation time!  It’s school vacation week and the BCYF – Tynan has some event plans to keep your kids entertained.  On Wednesday, April 19th from 3-5pm there’s a baseball derby in the gym for kids ages 7-11.  There’s also a field trip to King’s Bowling for teens from 4pm-8pm.  On Thursday, April 20th, it’s the annual whiffle ball tournament and cookout from 3-8pm ages 12-17.  On Friday, April 21st is a field trip to Launch Trampoline Park followed by Town Spa Pizza 3pm-7pm for teens.

Mark your calendars!  Let’s get this neighborhood cleaned up!  It’s the City of Boston’s Annual Spring Cleaning on Friday, May 12th and Saturday May 13th.  Organize a group and join in the fun!  Post clean up is a party at Capo with raffles, food, and fun!  Register here! 

Detox. Speaking of spring cleaning, how about a little spring cleaning for your body!  C2 is hosting a Spring Detox Workshop with Kristin Khederian on Saturday, April 29th from 12pm-1pm for $25 ($20 for members).  Gain balance and a little inner peace through some twisting powers, breathing work, journaling and even a little mindfulness practice!  We promise you’ll leave feeing refreshed and energized for spring!  Register here! 

Honor our heroes.  On Saturday, April 29th gather with friends and neighbors for the South Boston WWI Heroes 100th Anniversary Commemorations of Southie’s Boston’s sacrifice during the great war 1917-1919.  The ceremony will take place at 10am at Excel High School (95 G Street).

Get running.  Stephi’s Run Club is well, off and running!  It meets every Monday at 6:30pm at Stephi’s in Southie.  The routes will vary week to week but all runs will go  through Southie and/or the South End and will be about three miles but always end at Stephi’s.   And that’s were the fun starts!  Complimentary appetizers, cash bar and mix and mingle with some new friends!
