Ripped by Regan! Calling all young workout enthusiastsRipped By Regan an 8 week summer bootcamp for young adults begins on Tuesday, July 7th! This non-nonsense down and dirty workout is taught by none other than Thomas Regan of Regan’s Motivated Fitness.  Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursday Mornings – Group 1 (ages 15 and Up) from 7:30am-9:00am -Group 2 (Ages12-15) from 9-10 am.  Thanks to the South Boston Leadership Initiative this program is  FREE for all South Boston residents!  Just register here:  http://southbostonleadership.org/youth-fitness-bootcamps/ 

Take a sunset cruise! It’s the Annual Mary Binda Memorial Harbor Cruise
Enjoy a summer’s night on the high seas aboard the Provincetown II.  On Wednesday, July8th from 7pm to 10:00pm, help support the South Boston Boys & Girls club with a night of fun featuring three decks worth of entertainment.  Boat leaves from Commonwealth Pier.  Boarding begins at 6:30pm. Speaking of boats.  Welcome back to Boston Harbor,Sagres!  The Portuguese Navy’s Tall Ship comes back to Boston Harbor on Friday, July 10th. The beautiful steel-built, 3-masted barque is an official training ship of the Portuguese Navy. She was last in Boston Harbor while participating in Sail Boston 2009. The Sagres will sail into the harbor, Friday morning, July 10th and dock at Fan Pier in Boston’s Seaport District. The ship will be open for free public tours during her stay from Friday, July 10 through Monday, July 13. Public viewing hours are Saturday, July 11 – 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Sunday, July 12 – 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. andMonday, July 13 – 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Man’s best friend!  The Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge, Eastern Regional Championships will take place on Friday, July 10th 9am-5:30pm and Saturday, July 11th 11am-4:30pm at Moakley Park.  This series of athletic canine competitions will feature “incredible” dogs competing in Olympic-style events, including Agility, Diving Dog, Freestyle Flying Disc, Head-to-Head 60-Weave Pole Racing and Jack Russell Hurdle Racing.  This event is family-friendly and pet-friendly and is free and open to the public.
