Get rich! The Massachusetts Treasury has recently announced a list of South Boston and Dorchester residents with unclaimed property, which includes uncashed checks, contents from checking/savings accounts, stocks, dividends, insurance policy proceeds and contents of safe deposit boxes. Sweet!   Anyone currently owed more than $250 dollars will receive a letter with specific instructions on how to claim it.  If property is not claimed within three years, it is considered abandoned and turned over to the Commonwealth.  To look up your own status, please visit http://www.mass.gov/treasury/unclaimed-prop/ where you can search for unclaimed property.

As part of The Lawn on D’s Lunch Break on D series, Friendly’s invites ice cream fans to indulge in an afternoon of free frozen treats, lawn games and live music. Beginning at 12pm on Friday, July 24th, Friendly’s ambassadors will be handing out a variety of Sundae Snack Cups! As visitors to The Lawn on D relax on swings, play a competitive yet friendly game of corn hole and take in the sounds of Berklee College of Music’s 3 Sudacas, they can enjoy a sweet treat for FREE! We can’t think of a better way to spend a summer Friday?!
