Eat this! Prepare for a taste of the Florida Keys! The world’s largest Key Lime Pie is set to come to Boston’s South Station on Thursday, February 5th. The gigantic Key Lime Pie will measure 9 feet in diameter, and will be created by three Key West chefs, including Chef David Sloan, author of “The Ultimate Key Lime Pie Cookbook”. The dessert will be prepared in the main concourse of South Station and is expected to yield almost 2,000 servings. Inside the 9 foot Key Lime Pie, you can expect to see (and taste) the juice of 5,760 tiny yellow Key limes, 200 pounds of graham crackers and 55 gallons of sweetened condensed milk. The entire pie is expected to weigh around 1,000 pounds. If you want to partake in this giant dessert, stop by South Station around 3 p.m. to see the chefs creating the Key Lime Pie. The pie will be served around 4 p.m.
Bonus: How about them Pats? Celebrate the Super Bowl victory with a good old fashioned parade on Wednesday, February 4th beginning at 11am at the Prudential and ending at City Hall Plaza! The snow will be cleared for viewing and celebrating!
