Gather at No Man’s Land at Thomas Park behind Southie High and join a dance processional to the Strand Theater in Dorchester (345 Columbia Road). Along the way enjoy live dancing and entertainment.  At the Strand, watch a community dance off featuring some amazingly talented dancers from both Southie in Dorchester.  Think of it as a modern day West Side Story. Old Ironsides and Macbeth.  Castle Island is a bevy of activity the week of August 25th.  On Thursday, August 28th at Fort Independence enjoy a free live performance of Macbeth by the Brown Box Theatre Project from 7:30-9:30pm.  On Friday, August 29th at approximately at 11am, the USS Constitution will perform a training demonstration including a 21 Gun Salute, and a strike and set three top sails while in the harbor.  This will be one your last chances to see Old Ironsides in all her glory before she heads into dry dock for 3 years.
