Did you know that Fort Warren on Georges Island is designated a National Historic Landmark due to its prominent role in the American Civil War. Fort Warren served two main functions during the war: a training camp for Union troops and a depot for Confederate prisoners. Plan a day trip with a historical spin and take a Boston Harbor Island Ferry over to Georges Island and explore. While your there, ask about the legend of the Lady in Black. Very spooky!
