Get ripped!  Ripped by Regan that is.  This summer program is kicking off its 10th season conditioning Southie’s young adults into strong and powerful athletes. The legendary Tom Regan and his two extremely handsome sons Sean and Thomas lead the not for the ” faint of heart” workouts.  Ripped by Regan begins Monday, June 20th and will consist of four workouts per week for a period of ten weeks with 2 group times; one from 7:30am-9: 30am  (for 15 year old plus) and 9:30am to 11:30am (11 to 14 years old.)   Both sessions are Monday through Thursday focusing on weight training, cardio exercises, and plyometrics.  Space is limited.  For more information contact Motivated Fitness at 617-269-5555.  Just think of how ripped you’ll be at the end of 10 weeks.

Tuesday is the official first day of summer.  The Summer Solstice should be celebrated outdoors and bright beautiful sunshine is in the forecast!  Plan a picnic.  American Provisions makes amazingly delicious sandwiches like Boursin and the Beast and Farmhouse.  Pick up a few and head to the park or beach!  Or go old school Southie and venture to the greenie. Happy summer!

Play Ball! 10 teams will compete for the title in the 3rd Annual Stephen Rosemond Memorial Softball Tournament.  Round one starts Friday, June 24th at M St Park; games are 6pm, 7:30 and 9 with games on both N & M St fields.  On Saturday, June 25th the tournament continues at 8 am.   Lunchtime food break will be sponsored by Sully’s @ 11 am.  Music and raffles also on the agenda.  Prizes include Red Sox Tickets, Country Fest tickets, weekend getaways, and restaurant gift certificates. 

Listen to the music!  The Boston Harbor Islands Alliance will present the Berklee Summer concert Series at 4pm on Saturday, June 25th on Georges Island and again on Sunday, June 26th at 1pm on Spectacle Island.  Hop a free ferry from Long Wharf and enjoy local music like Foxtrot, Green Line Inbound, and jazz guitarist Italo Cunha.  For a full line-up of performances or for more information go to: www.bostonharborislands.org.
