Southie Bowl-a-rama is combining some of our favorite things.  Monday night football, beer and bowling.  Gather up a group of friends and register for the Monday Night Football Bowling League.  Email [email protected] to register.  Each team will be made up of four players.

Festival of fun. Never forget.  The South Boston Vietnam Memorial 32th Anniversary happens on Sunday, September 15th.  This memorial can be found at  M Street Park. Everyone listed on the monument had come to the park sometime during their childhood. This monument is thought to be the first Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in the country.  Every fall the Memorial is rededicated as the family and friends of these men gather and remember their lives and the sacrifices they all made.   Come show your respect and support and let all know that they did not die in vain.?Each soldier listed is immortalized in a brief but moving bio about his life on the website www.sbvnm.org.  We encourage you to read and learn about each and everyone one of them.  
Sunday, September, 15th Memorial Mass at St. Brigid’s Church 10:30AM, Re-dedication Ceremony Medal of Honor park 11:30 AM featuring guest speaker – Lieutenant General Robert E. Milstead, Jr.  Deputy Commandant, US Marine Corps.  Reception to follow at the Michael J. Perkins Post.

One stop – two shops.  The Fashion Truck visits Closet Connection this Thursday night.  Stop by on September 12 at 6pm and hunt through the racks of designer duds at Closet Connection and hop aboard the Fashion Truck to discover trendy tops, dresses and accessories. 

Inside scoop:
Friday Night Lights.  Since White Stadium is under going a lighting renovation, Boston Latin School’s Wolfpack  football will be playing under the lights at Moakely Stadium in Southie this Friday night.   Come out and show your support for the nation’s oldest school as they take on North Quincy.  Four Soutihie girls – Grace O’Brien, Hannah Silva, Mari Barry and Ciara Morris – and members of the BLS Cheerleading Team will be rooting the Wolfpack on to victory.
