Get involved.  Public Safety Meeting on Monday, July 29th at 7pm at the Tynan School (650 East Fourth Street).  Congressman Stephen Lynch, Senator Linda Dorcena Forry, Representative Nick Collins, Councilor Bill Linehan are hosting a meeting to discuss the recent tragedy of Amy Lord and two other attacks on South Boston women as well as other public safety issues affecting our community.   Police officials from the Boston Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police and DEA, as well as officials from the Probation Department will be in attendance.  We hope you will attend this very important meeting.  Be informed.  Get involved. Stay safe, Southie!

Pray for Amy.  A special Mass and Rosary will be said in Amy Lord’s memory on Tuesday, July 30th at 6:30pm at Gate of Heaven Church (615 East Fourth Street). 

Tie a White ribbon.  After her tragic death on Tuesday, Amy Lord’s hometown of Wilbraham has decorated its homes and open spaces with white ribbons in Amy memory.  Let’s do the same here in South Boston and show solidarity, support and love. We encourage you to decorate your homes, trees, businesses with a white ribbon to remember such a beautiful member of our community.  We want to see white ribbons everywhere!
