Barre for Boston. C2 Pilates (840/844 Summer Street) is hosting a special class to honor the victims in the Marathon Monday attack and in particular to Martin Richard.  To honor and support the Richard family, C2 is hosting a complimentary barre class on Monday, April 22nd at 5:30pm.  Donations will be collected on behalf of the Youth Enrichment SErvices (YES) organization – a program that Martin was actively involved with along with his siblings and parents.  ??To sign up for Monday’s complimentary barre class, please email [email protected] – space is limited. Get out there and shop!  Ku de Ta, Habit, The Closet Connection and Karen’s boutique are joining forces and hosting a special shopping event, Shop for a Cause, to benefit The One Fund – Boston’s primary fund to help those affected by the Boston Marathon Tragedy.??On Thursday, April 25th from 6pm-8pm shop at any of these Southie boutiques and they will donate 20% of all sales during these two hours to The One Fund.  ??Enjoy food provided the Playwright and the Paramount and sip on specialty cocktails by Double Cross Vodka.  Eating, drinking and shopping = a trifecta of fun and your doing something to help!  What’s better than that??

Just add art – Soul Possibilities Fourth Presbyterian Church (340 Dorchester Street) is taking registrations for its spring session classes for the art and music program Soul Possibilities.  Not only will this program include productions of the Jungle Book, it will also feature the following:

Mayor Menino wants you to help clean up our neighborhood!  Boston Shines 365, provides the tools and materials to help volunteers successfully complete projects in every neighborhood in Boston.

Let Boston Shines help organize a neighborhood clean-up or a day of community service for your co-workers. Join the team and help paint a community center, plant flowers, sweep, rake and pick up trash to make our community more beautiful.

For the past nine years, over 5,000 volunteers have come together for two days in the spring to participate in a citywide clean up event. Now volunteers have the opportunity to participate in projects 365 days a year.
