So isn’t Local 149 with their second annual Resolution Dinner – a culinary interpretation of this New Year’s resolution to consume more consciously. Stretch and breathe. B Yoga (516 East Second Street) is offering a special class just for tweens. This class empowers tweens to become more self-aware and confident. Students gain a sense of well-being while developing strength and flexibility, and also learn breathing and relaxation techniques. 8-Week Session is $96.00 – $15 Drop-ins Welcome! 6 student minimum need to register to run this session. Pick a painting. Local firefighter and artist Tommy Cherry is up to the task of painting two paintings a week and he wants you to give him the subject. Whether it’s a Southie landmark, person or really great photo, he wants your ideas for inspiration. The paintings will then be available for sale with first dibs going to the person that submitted the request. Make Southie a little greener in 2013. Planet Southie invites you to come together for their monthly meeting on Thursday, January 24th from 6:30pm-7:30pm at the Distillery (516 East Second Street). Come and listen to Transportation Engineer Mike Tremblay as he shares his study and design ideas for East and West Broadway.
