Add some culture to you week!  TheSouth Boston Arts Association  is hosting a Monday Night Art Salon on Monday, November 19th from 7-8:30pm at the Curley Recreation Center (aka The L) on the M Street entrance.  In addition to viewing some really great art, there will be live musical entertainment too.  For more information visit www.southbostonartassoc.org

Looking for a little help this Thanksgiving?  Del Frisco’s to the rescue!  The steakhouse on the waterfront will be will be offering a selection of its delicious side dishes to-go this Thanksgiving.  Just order it up, they cook it, pack it and you pick it up!  No one has to know you didn’t make it!  It will be our little secret!?Featured side dishes include, Lobster or Jalapeno and Bacon Mac-n-Cheese, Signature Chataeu Potatoes, Potatoes Au Gratin, Spinach Supreme, Maque Choux Corn.  When ordering a to-go dish, guests will also receive Del Frisco’s Turkey Benedict Recipe – think post Thanksgiving brunch using your leftover Turkey.  Sounds good to us!  Del Frisco’s (250 Northern Avenue) 617-951-1368

Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for what you have and the perfect time to help those who are less fortunate.  Tommy Butler, Jr., along with Senator Jack Hart, Councilor Bill Linehan and Representative Nick Collins, are keeping the long standing South Boston tradition of the Thanksgiving Dinner at St. Monica’s church.   They are looking for volunteers to help cook turkeys, make pick ups, deliveries, serve meals, set-up and clean-up.  If you would like to help, contact Tommy at 617-722-1150. If you would like to come for a delicious dinner at St. Monica’s Hall (at the corner of Preble and Old Colony Ave), it’s being served from 11:30-1:30.  If you can’t leave your home and would like a meal delivered, give St. Monica’s at 617-268-1230. ?
