Week of October 15th

Shopping and make-up – two of our favorite things.  Habit is hosting a Laura Mercier Makeup Event on Wednesday, October 17th.  Enjoy 45 minute mini-makeovers by Laura Mercier Makeup artists.  Not only will you get tricks of the trade, you’ll also receive a free gift with appointment and purchase.  Just to sweeten the pot a little more, Habit is offering 20% off all purchases that evening.  To make an appointment send and email to [email protected]

Finally, Moko (674 East Broadway) is serving beer and wine.  After much anticipation, Southie’s newest sushi spot now has beer and wine on their menu.  Sushi+wine/beer=bliss.

You’ve seen the flyers around town (and the handsome fellas handing them out).  On Thursday, October 18th a community meeting will be held to discuss the ongoing Boston Public School Quality Choice Plan.  Almost 40 years later after forced busing, steps are being made to improve the current policy and standards of the Boston Public School system. This is an opportunity to learn the facts and voice your opinion.  This meeting takes place at 6pm at the Condon School (200 D Street).

Indulge in some pampering this week.  Spa Week is back at Nurture Salon and Spa for the week of October 15 – 21 and features three specials:
    –    $50 One Hour Facial
    –    $50 One Hour Massage
    –    $50 Wash and Blowdry with Curls

Show your Irish pride at the Seapoint  (367 East Eighth) on Friday, October 19th.  At 9pm, the Irish band Inchicore takes the stage and will have you clapping your hands, tapping your feet and up and dancing for sure. There is no cover charge so gather up a group, order up a round of Guinness and Jameson and raise your glass to Ireland!  Up Inchicore!  ?
