Hungry?  Tasty Burger (69 L Street) opens its take-out window very soon – any day now.  Part of the Franklin Cafe family, Tasty Burger boasts some amazingly delicious burgers including such creations at the Spicy Jalapeno, Kahuna Burger with pineapple and a special Burger of the Day.   A burger will run you about $5 – not bad!  So be on the look-out for the open take-out windows!   We can’t wait!

Give blood. The Curley Recreation Center (aka the L) is hosting a blood drive for the American Red Cross on Wednesday, September 5th from 2pm-7pm.  When you donate blood you’ll receive a collectable Red Sox t-shirt.  To make an appointment, please call 1-800-733-2767 or visit www.redcrossblood.org.  The blood drive will take place on the M Street side.

We love a parade!  It’s the annual South Boston Youth Soccer Parade on Thursday, September 6th at 6pm.  Stop by the Moakley Park Soccer Field and watch the youth of South Boston parade around the field sporting their new uniforms.  Hip, hip, hooray!
