Viva Italia! Celebrate your Italian pride on Wednesday, August 22nd from 6pm to 8pm.  The fun happens at Medal of Honor Park at M Street and the evening will include Michael Dutra and the Strictly Sinatra Band, activities for the kids and the honoring of Anthony Gilardi – the Italian Pride Award recipient.   This event is brought to you by Mayor Thomas Menino – Head Italian and the City of Boston??And remember you don’t have to be Italian to show your Italian pride!! ??See you there!

Free Wine! Know what would make restaurant week in Boston even better? Free wine!  Dinner is better with wine at Aquitaine, GasLight, Union Bar and Grille and Metropolis Cafe. Taking the plunge!  The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series will make its fifth stop of its global tour at Southie’s Fan Pier on August 25.
What is cliff diving? Cliff diving is the acrobatic perfection of diving into water from great heights, and the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series is the most prominent competitive platform for the sport. Eleven divers –  from seven countries will compete 2012. Rather than natural cliffs, the divers will use the cantilever roof of the Institute of Contemporary Art building as their diving platform which soars 75 feet above the water’s edge.  Two-time Olympic Gold medalist Greg Louganis offers his diving expertise as one of the judges on the tour.  This event is free and takes place from 4pm to 6:30 pm.

Feast! If you’re like us, you had every intention of going to a North End Feast this summer.  We’ll guess what?  There is only one left.  The Feast of St. Anthony takes place from August 24th-27th.  Grab a cannoli and stroll the streets.  Eat, drink, celebrate!  For more information go to www.stanthonysfest.com

Meeting Location: The Distillery Building, 516 East 2nd Street.: If you walk in the yard, enter the door of the building to your left, a low brick building that says Honeywell on it (across the parking lot from the Distillery residences).  Be informed.  Get involved.
