Head out with the family on Tuesday, August 7th.  It’s National Night Out and Mayor Menino would like to invite you to an evening of family fun including kids activities, food and entertainment.  This kid friendly event happens at Moakley Park- adjacent to the Ollie 1187 Columbia Road. 

Eat your Wheaties!  The South Boston Community Health Center is hosting “Breakfast of Champions” award breakfast and you’re invited.  This breakfast event will honor local individuals who’ve made contributions to community health.  This years’ recipients include State Rep. Nick Collins, Kristen Barnicle, Manager of Community Benefits for Partner for Partners Health Care, Kathleen Civiello RN, Director of Nursing for SBCHC, Rev. Joe White, Pastor oat St. Vincent de Paul.   The breakfast begins at 9am under a tent at 409 West Broadway. 

Dance!  Dance!  Dance!  Want to learn how to shuffle off to Buffalo?  Stop by Jacquelyn’s Dance Academy (The Curley Recreation Center – K Street Side) on Wednesday, August 8th 5:30-7pm.  This dance studio offers ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop.  For more information and registration visit www.jacquelynsdanceacademy.com.  On Wednesday, August 22nd, Miss Linda’s School of Dance is offering fall registration from 6pm-7:30pm at the Perkins Post (corner of O and East Fourth).
