Week of July 23rd

Far out, man! Revisit the 70’s at Local 149’s 70’s Dinner Party on Monday July 23rd at 7pm.  Inspired by the decade of bell bottoms, free love, and the best music ever, this event will feature food and cocktails that celebrate the 1970’s.  Expect a 1970’s sound track, door prizes and decor!  70’s attire is encouraged! Grand Prize for the best outfit (two tickets to the Allman Brother band at the pavilion, VIP seats & VIP parking). Tickets are $55 each or $100 for two tickets. Each ticket includes 4 cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres and three courses to be served family style. ?

Throw on your flip flops and head to Carson Beach for a night of summertime fun.  The South Boston Community Health Center will be hosting a 40th Birthday Beach Barbecue on Thursday, July 26th at 6 PM at the McCormack Bathhouse Pavilion right on Carson Beach. Tickets to win the $10,000 are $100 and only 300 will be sold. Each ticket admits two people to the event. Expect great BBQ, an open bar with beer and wine, music and dancing, raffles galore in support of South Boston Community Health Center’s food pantry and one lucky duck will win $10,000. Proceeds from the event will benefit the programs and services of the South Boston Community Health Center where health care is provided to nearly half of South Boston’s population.
